Alas! I finally made it! I was able to install Ubuntu on my computer, and yes, I guess I would say I’m a linux convert! I think I’m still far from being truly addicted (i.e. customizing, modifying, and whatnots-ing my OS). But I would say that, yes, Linux (well, at least Ubuntu) is way cooler (and extremely faster) than Windows. Although there are still ‘kinks’ here and there, i still find it cooler than windows! Bwahahahahahahhahahahahh!!!
Good choice. I’ve been a mac convert three years ago and never looked back at windows since then. But two weeks ago, I had to buy a laptop with windows for my CASB, and just two weeks of vista, and it’s already breaking down -disappearing icons, freezing, arghhhhhhhh…I hate VISTA!!!!!!
Anyways, I’ve been eye-ing the linux OS for a few years now, I’m just scared that it won’t work with my softwares and programs…You have to update back on how it’s doing with compatibility, alright?
I find mac too expensive for my liking, and too yuppy. hehe…
gosh, sorry about the vista breaking already in your new pc. that’s really sucky. i haven’t installed any non-open source program in my OS yet, since I made a dual boot, i can still access my windows software through my windows partition. I’ve asked a friend who’s supposed to be a lot more knowledgable (?) in linux, I’m waiting for his response. Although, you never know, you may find an open source version of your CASB softwares… you may want to snoop around. But yes, I’ll write an update on how I’m liking my Ubuntu experience.
